Our hazards

One platform, three
compounding hazards

Drought, wildfire and flood share the same physics and the same data spine. Plansyx builds each as a product line on one prediction engine.

Product line 01 Live

  • PDRI™ index calibrated to loss, not rainfall
  • Trigger design, pricing and portfolio analytics
  • Independent Trigger Certificate™ per event
Product line 02 MVP

WISE

Wildfire Intelligence for Society and Ecosystems. Dynamic fuels, daily ignition likelihood, rapid spread scenarios and asset exposure in one workflow.

Product line 03 Roadmap

FloodSight

Post-fire debris flow, extreme precipitation and flood exposure — the cascading hazards that follow drought and fire, delivered through the same enterprise layer.

  • Extreme-precipitation and streamflow signals
  • Post-fire debris-flow susceptibility
  • Shared asset and portfolio exposure model

The prediction chain

Monitor, predict, simulate,
quantify, act

One integrated chain instead of five disconnected tools. Every risk signal can be traced back to the layer that moved it.

  1. 01

    Monitor

Fuel condition, precipitation, soil moisture and weather, refreshed continuously.

  2. 02

    Predict

Ignition and drought-onset probability, forecast up to 10 days and a season ahead.

  3. 03

    Simulate

Hybrid physics and AI spread scenarios at sub-daily time steps.

  4. 04

    Quantify

Buildings, corridors, portfolios and expected payout in the path.

  5. 05

    Act

Alerts, thresholds, certified triggers and audit-ready exports.

FuelPulse

Dynamic fuel intelligence

Spatially explicit fuel load and condition from satellite observation, sub-monthly.

Ignite10

Daily ignition likelihood

Pixel-level wildfire-onset probability from fuels, weather and ignition factors.

SpreadCast

Rapid spread scenarios

Fuels, weather, topography, roads, barriers and built environment in one model.

Parametric Designer™

Trigger optimization

Searches trigger space for the structure that tracks real loss within insurer constraints.

Plansyx API

Decision delivery

Dashboard, alerts, geospatial API, batch portfolio scoring and model metadata.

The data spine

Fusion is the product,
not the datasets

Hundreds of public indicators already exist. The differentiator is Plansyx's fusion, loss calibration and insurance-ready trigger methodology — resolved to roughly 4 km for drought and 30–100 m for fuels in priority areas.

Plansyx Drought Risk Index, AI-calibrated against economic loss rather than rainfall alone.

Basis risk

Validation

Nobody buys a black box

High-liability buyers act on evidence. Every Plansyx output ships with calibration, uncertainty and an audit trail.

Published validation

Historical hindcasts and calibration plots against representative events, not generic accuracy claims.

Uncertainty, not a score

Confidence and sensitivity travel with every output. Decision support, not command and control.

Event-level audit trail

Versioned datasets, archived algorithms and model cards for regulated, high-liability use.

Traceable signals

The integrated chain means a customer can see exactly which layer moved the risk, and why.

Questions we get asked

No. Plansyx is the independent risk-intelligence, product-design, pricing and trigger-verification layer. Carriers and reinsurers supply the license, capital and payout.

Rainfall alone is not drought. A grower can have reasonable accumulated rainfall alongside extreme evaporative demand, depleted soil moisture and vegetation stress. PDRI fuses precipitation, soil moisture, evapotranspiration, vegetation, temperature and water availability, then calibrates the weights against recorded economic loss.

Roughly 4 km for drought — against the 0.25° grids, about 17 by 17 miles, used historically in federal index programs — and target fuel layers of 30 to 100 m in priority wildfire areas.

The Basis Risk Optimization Engine searches thousands of trigger combinations across SPI horizons, soil moisture, NDVI, evapotranspiration and temperature to maximize correlation between payout and actual loss, subject to insurer constraints on payout probability and expected loss.

Plansyx issues an independent Trigger Certificate for each event. Datasets and algorithm versions are archived so neither insurer nor insured can influence the observation after the fact.

California and the Western U.S. first: Central Valley specialty crops, Western water districts, Texas and Plains ranching, and wildfire-prone utility corridors. National coverage follows the validation work.
